We are situated close to Blackheath and Maritime Greenwich, a World Heritage Site.   Our tailor made curriculum provides opportunities for pupils to learn about their world by drawing on local history and through real life experiences.  Curriculum strengths in ICT, Music and the Arts provide children with an enriching experience through which every child can aspire to become a life-long learner.

We provide children with creative opportunities to learn discover and express themselves in a variety of ways.   Every child at Sherington will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn a musical instrument
  • Visit museums and galleries
  • Perform to an audience
  • Celebrate their own achievements through assemblies, shows, exhibitions and displays
  • Take an active part in Arts Week, culminating in a dance and vocal performance to parents/carers
  • Experience the Greenwich World Heritage Site through termly topics
  • Learn to speak French
  • Have opportunity to participate in a language, dance, music, computing or art club
  • Use Green screen to create their own movies
  • Take part in an Oscar Ceremony at Greenwich Picture House, showcasing children’s own short films
  • Work in collaboration with a professional artist and dance specialist
  • Take part in a range of artistic cultural events
