Open the door for spring
If there’s anything as delicate as a primrose
Or as delightful as a daffodil
It’s the fresh rain that trickles through green leaves
The beaming rays of the honey sun
The promise of longer days
And the joy of peaceful nights
It’s the magical season of spring
The one we so enjoy
For now, the blizzards have ceased
And we anticipate the unfolding of new thrills
Birds cocoon their chicks in warmth
Lambs gambol, buds and blossom burst forth
“Open the door for spring
Winter must hibernate once more
Open the door for spring!”
