Today, Sherington remembered those who have lost their lives in war. We are indebted to Mr Woodhurst, our brass teacher, who saw it as a great honour to commemorate the fallen by beginning the period of silent reflection with The Last Post and ending it with Reveille.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
