Year 4 had a fantastic trip to the almost 2000 year old Roman villa in Lullingstone. We saw the amazing remains of the villa and artefacts that told us of an age gone by. It really brought the topic to life!

Year 4 using computer aided design

The year 4 children have been using a CAD program to create cubes, cuboids and triangular prisms. They will use these skills to create a Roman arrowhead for their humanities topic.

Exciting visit from illustrator Garry Parsons

We had a very exciting visit from illustrator Garry Parsons. He amazed the children in an assembly with his illustration skills and quick imagination! His inspirational assembly and workshops had children in awe with a lot of spontaneous clapping!

Year 2 DT project – Animal Hand Puppets

Year 2 have been creating animal puppets based on their science work. They have been learning how to stitch fabric together to make a hand puppet for a purpose. In this DT project they have been researching products, designing their own and creating them.

Computing and DT

Year 4 were working on electrical systems to create moving mechanisms. Year 4 built them and created a program to make them move!

School Journey 2018

Year 6 are having a fabulous time in Wales – hill climbing, gorge walking, canoeing and climbing. Beautiful weather and lots of fresh air! We’re all looking forward to tomorrow’s activities.

Year 2 – Absorption experiment

This week, Year 2 looked at how plants transport and absorb water. Ask your child how they were able to demonstrate the process by using food colouring and kitchen towel.
