4W Class Assembly

4W presented their humanities learning in their class assembly. Parents, carers and family were treated to a Roman themed assembly all about the historical impact of the Romans in Britain. We even had a 4W Ms Burnell look-alike attend the assembly!

Year 2 had a hands on experience with some insects and animals to help them with their humanities topic.     

Chinese New Year

Sherington children enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year. All children from nursery to year 6 experienced the Lion Dance – a traditional Chinese dance. Children also either took part in calligraphy or Tai Chi session.

Reception Maths Open Morning

Children in Need 2019-2020

Children in Need We bounced, we wore spots and we donated… Through our school community’s kindness and generosity, we raised £386.75 so far for Children in Need. Thank you to everyone who supported this great cause.

Visit from saxophonist and CBeeBees’ presenter YolanDa Brown

Yolanda Brown, world renowned saxophonist and TV presenter from CBeeBees’ YolanDa’s Band Jam, came to Sherington Senior Band on Monday this week to lead a workshop on improvisation. The children loved her energy and enthusiasm and she equipped them with the skills to improvise during solo opportunities.

Comic Relief

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Red Nose Day Dance Off in the playground. We had hundreds taking part, dancing to Jagger and Bowie. It was an energising way to start the day and we raised £395!
